리움
그간 세간에 화제가 되어왔던 삼성미술관 리움-
그 리움을 해외 미술계에 홍보하기위한 지면광고를 만드는 일에
관여하게 되어 미술관 투어에 초대를 받게 되었다.
흔한 기회가 아니므로 문화재단측에 특별히 청을 하여
바프의 디자이너들을 모두 데리고 가니
어제는 정말 대단히 흥분되는 하루가 아닐 수 없었다.
마리오 보타, 렘 쿨하스, 장 누벨이 디자인한 건축물 안을 누비며
국보급의 신라 장신구에서 고려, 조선 도자기에 이르기까지
길게는 수천년 전 사람들의 손때가 묻어있는 고미술품들과,
정선, 김홍도에서 앤디워홀 백남준에 이르기까지
책에서나 볼 수 있었던 세계적인 작가들의 작품들을 모두
눈 앞 30cm 거리에 두고 감상할 수 있었다니...!
(무엇보다도, 내가 좋아하는 프란시스 베이컨의 작품 앞에
내가 서있다는 사실 그 자체가 감동적이었다.)
하지만, 이게 전부가 아니다.
현재의 계획대로라면 우리는 휴관일인 월요일에 미술관을 다시 방문할 것이며
그때 우리의 손에는 디지털 카메라가 하나씩 들려 있을 것이다.
방문객이라고는 우리뿐인 미술관 이곳저곳을 돌아다니며
디자이너의 시각을 통해 흥미롭게 발견되는 많은 지점 지점들을
카메라의 파인더 안에 담아올 것이다.
바프의 디자이너라는 점만으로 이렇게 멋지게 '폼'을 재게 될 줄 누가 알았을까.
두근두근... 가슴이 뛰는 소리를 들키게 되면 멋적을 일이지만
디자이너로서의 삶에 만족을 느끼는 순간 중의 하나가 바로 이런 순간일 것이다.
