Corelle- Warm & Cool Pansies
작년, 우연한 기회에 참여하게 된 코렐의 패턴 디자인 프로젝트-
한국의 월드키친 지사의 의뢰로 싱가폴의 디자인회사가 주축이 되어
진행하는 일인데 한국.중국.일본 시장을 겨냥한 새로운 패턴 개발을 위해
우리에게 작업을 의뢰해왔다.
그때 우리가 제안한 디자인 중의 하나인 Warm & Cool Pansy-
마젠타 계열의 붉은 보라와 가지색의 푸른 보라 중 어느 한 쪽을
단정적으로 결정하기 어려워 끌어다 붙인 아이디어가 바로 'his(남자용)'
& 'hers(여자용)' 컨셉이었는데, 한국 시장에서 아주 반응이 좋아
잘 팔리고 있다고 한다.
추가의 아이템으로 다섯 종의 냄비에 적용할 보다 화려한 방식의
디자인 응용을 의뢰받아 작업 중이다.
그밖에도, 내년도 제품을 위한 패턴 개발에도 역시 초대를 받아 참여했는데
그중 한 두가지가 또 선택되어 마켓테스트에 들어갈 예정이다.
그릇을 위한 패턴 디자인이라니...
의외의 '창작'의 재미가 쏠쏠 느껴지는 작업이기도 하다.
